You Can't Get There From Here

First of all....let's just say that Owensboro, KY seems like a nice place....but every "nice" restaurant in town is closed on Sunday. We got off to a bad start on Monday morning. The GPS had to "recalculate" because of a closed road and we were taken way out of our anticipated route to Memphis.

Every cloud has a silver lining....if we didn't have that detour we never would have seen this sign!



Our arrival in Memphis coincided with rush hour but we made it to the Peabody Hotel long before sunset which we observed from the rooftop. Several people had recommended ribs @ Rendezvous but, guess what....it's closed on Monday. Are you beginning to see a theme here? So we took another recommendation and had a yummy rib dinner @ Blues City Cafe. Afterward a couple of hours walking around Beale Street and listening to music.
