Away we go.......

It took a little time...and a shoe horn....but we finally got everything we think we need into the trunk! Our first stop was to visit a vendor in Lancaster...as most of you know - that is the story of our life. We always have a business stop along the way of a vacation. Next we stopped at Bird in Hand and bought some locally made cheeses. Then a driving tour through the battlefields at Gettysburg. We decided to stay off the interstate highway. Route 30 was a beautiful drive and especially fun over the Tuscarora and Blue Mountains. We drove 328 miles today....mostly in rain. That beautiful, clean car is just a memory now. Oh....and don't waste your money on those static cling paint protectors for behind your wheels. One was missing before our first stop!

Jennie's, a stainless steel diner with plenty of stains! The club sandwich we split for lunch was hand carved turkey, crisp bacon and fresh lettuce & tomato. It tasted much better than the place looked.
